Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival – Arusha

Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania.

Your family is greeted at the airport and transferred to a family-friendly lodge with a swimming pool—essential after a long journey.

Kids’ Welcome: Each child receives a Blue Eagle Junior Ranger Kit:

  • Kid-sized binoculars
  • Wildlife activity book
  • Animal checklist
  • Official Blue Eagle badge (to be earned on Day 7!)
  • Accommodation:Arusha Planet Lodge (pool, playground)
  • Meals:Dinner

The Land of Giants

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). This is elephant country, and kids will be amazed by the sheer size of the herds.

Kids’ Activity: “Animal Bingo” – First to spot 10 animals wins a prize!

Look for:

  • Elephants (how many can you count?)
  • Giraffes eating from acacia trees
  • Zebras and wildebeest
  • Baboons playing by the road

Lunch: Picnic under a baobab tree—adventure dining!

Afternoon: Short game drive before transferring to your lodge.

Into the Endless Plains

Morning game drive, then drive to the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Highlands (approx. 5 hours with stops).

En Route Stop: Visit a Maasai village (optional). Kids can meet Maasai children, try jumping with warriors, and learn about this incredible culture. ($75/family)

Arrival Serengeti: Late afternoon game drive as you enter the park.

Two Full Nights in Serengeti – Day 1

Morning Game Drive: Depart after breakfast. Your guide knows how to keep kids engaged—stories, facts, and games.

Lunch: Picnic at a scenic spot.

Afternoon: Continue exploring, with flexibility to return to camp if little ones need a break.

Two Full Nights in Serengeti – Day 2 (Morning)

Morning Game Drive: Sunrise in the Serengeti. Watch animals wake up and begin their day.

After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Check into your lodge on the Crater Rim.

Farewell Ceremony: Your children receive their Official Blue Eagle Junior Ranger Certificate—proof they’re now wildlife protectors for life.

After lunch, transfer to Arusha for departure.
