Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival – Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Evening briefing.

Day 2-5: Mount Meru Trek (4 Days)
Follow the Standard Meru Trek itinerary (Days 2-5 above).

- Meals:As per trek itinerary
Day 6: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours drive).
Afternoon Game Drive: Explore Tarangire’s baobab-dotted landscape. Look for:
- Massive elephant herds (Tarangire has the highest concentration in Tanzania)
- Lions resting in the shade
- Leopards in acacia trees
- Birdlife including hornbills, rollers, and eagles
Lunch: Picnic in the park.
Late Afternoon: Transfer to your lodge near the park.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Early Morning: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 2 hours). Descend 600 meters into the crater—often called the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Full Day Crater Exploration:
- Black rhinos in the open grasslands
- Hippos in the freshwater pools
- Lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest
- Flamingos at Lake Magadi
Lunch: Picnic by the hippo pool.
Late Afternoon: Ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha (approx. 3 hours).

Day 8: Departure
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
