Day 1: Arrival – Moshi
Jambo! Welcome to Kilimanjaro.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your Blue Eagle representative will greet you and transfer you to your luxury hotel in Moshi (approx. 45 minutes).
Afternoon: Meet your lead guide for a full briefing. Your guide is one of our most experienced—with over 100 successful summits. They’ll check your gear, answer questions, and discuss the days ahead. A full medical check is performed.
Spa Access: Enjoy the hotel spa facilities—pool, sauna, massage (included). This pre-trek relaxation helps prepare your body.
Evening: Gourmet welcome dinner. Your guide joins you to build rapport and answer final questions.

Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp

Arrival Shira 1 Camp: Your camp sits on the Shira Plateau—one of the highest plateaus in the world. Upon arrival:

The Critical Acclimatization Day
Morning: Early breakfast. Today follows the “climb high, sleep low” principle.
The Trail: Ascend through increasingly barren landscape to Lava Tower (4,600m). The altitude is noticeable—move slowly. Your guide sets a gentle pace with frequent rests.
Lava Tower: At 4,600m, you’ll have lunch. Despite the altitude, your chef manages to serve a hot, gourmet meal. You’ll feel the thin air here.
Descent: After lunch, descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m). The drop in elevation brings relief.
Arrival Barranco Camp: Your camp sits in a stunning valley surrounded by giant groundsels. The famous Barranco Wall looms above.

Summit Day – The Moment You’ve Waited For
11:30 PM – Wake Up: Your guide brings tea and biscuits to your tent. Dress in layers—your guide helps ensure you’re properly outfitted.

Midnight – Departure: Headlamps on, you begin the final ascent. Your guide sets a slow, steady rhythm. Your assistant guide carries extra oxygen, water, and snacks.
The Ascent (5-7 hours):

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM (approx): Uhuru Peak – 5,895 meters. You’ve reached the roof of Africa!

Descent Begins: The way down is faster but hard on knees. Your guide stays with you.

Continue to Mweka Camp (3-4 hours): Descend through alpine desert and moorland to Mweka Camp in the rainforest.
